Back-to-Back Fires Fires in East Norwalk Labeled as Suspicious

Members of Local 830 were called to Calf Pasture Beach on Monday, January 7th around 8:30 for multiple reports of a small structure on fire. Upon arrival, companies found a fully-engulfed 12x12 structure by the skate park. Crews quickly extinguished and overhauled the fire. Shortly after units were put in service, calls for a second fire at Cove Marina were received. What was found to be burning was a 33-foot boat in winter storage. Again, members quickly handled the blaze. Norwalk Fire Inspection Bureau remained on scene to investigate the two fires along with the Norwalk Polic Detective Bureau. The fires have been labled suspicious in nature, but have not been classified as arson at this point. Respondind to the fires was 3 Engines, 2 Trucks, Rescue 2 and Car 2 along with Norwalk Police And Fire Inspection Bureau's.
